Opening of the New 18th Green: Svein Lindberg and Mats Carlsson Achieve a Historic Berdie
Today the long-awaited opening of the renovated 18th hole green at the El Bosque Golf Club was celebrated, an event that brought together golfers, sports enthusiasts and local authorities. After several months of work on the construction of the green, it was presented with an improved design, seeking to offer greater challenges and a more dynamic experience for the players.
On this very special day, both the President of La Marquesa, Don José Ángel Quesada and the Manager, Don Guillermo Navarro, took part in the game. Both enjoyed this great opening.
The highlight of the day was the turn of events for members Svein Lindberg and Mats Carlsson, who both made memorable shots by making a berdie on their first attempt on the new green on the 18th. Lindberg and Carlsson, who were thrilled by the quality of the terrain and the optimal conditions, highlighted that the new design represents an additional challenge, but at the same time offers new opportunities for experienced players.
“It is an honour to be part of such a special day,” said both, who pointed out that this green promises to become a true benchmark in the region. The opening of the green was also an opportunity to reaffirm the club’s commitment to excellence and innovation in the sport of golf. The event culminated with a ceremony where everyone involved in the remodelling of the course was thanked.
